Winning AMD Stock Forecast

In conjunction with I Know First’s 3 month algorithmic forecast, the top earner was AMD. The chipmakers’ saw increases of 106.35% at the conclusion of those months. The company that was once in big trouble has been on quite an incline. For 2018, AMD announced Q1 earnings of $1.65 billion, exceeding that with Q2 earnings of $1.76 billion. After increases in quality product, they are once again giving competitors NVDA and INTC a run for their money, quite literally. Much credit may be given to the new leadership with Lisa Su as CEO, who was responsible for their first full year of profitability. The company made noticeable gain these past months in getting their product into more data centers and managed to surpass Intel in the growing gaming realm. With the total accessible market for what the likes of AMD have to offer up $4 billion, this means that even with their tough competition, they can still continue to grow. With the advancing markets like smartphones, data-centers, AI, AR/VR, self-driving, automation, suppliers like AMD are big winners. One of I Know First’s financial analysts wrote several months ago about the factors that would, and did propel AMD forward. That article can be found here.

The second highest earner of the forecast following AMD’s massive gains is DDD with gains of 40.94%. 3D Systems had Q2 earnings of $176.6 million this year, up 10.7% year over year. This also gives them a slight reach over their competitor, Stratasys. 3D Systems is fortifying itself in very large sectors, and saw an increase in printer sales. With some new printers on the way, expect DDD stock to stay on the rise. I believe now that 3D printers are popping up around malls and shopping centers (available to make a person into a small 3D printed version of themselves as one function), this points to the broader reach that this product and subsequently this company will have in the coming future. Its growing use in the healthcare realm, which brings a nice piece of their revenue should also be noted. In May, DDD announced a distribution deal made with the U.S. military. These are all just examples of how much this company has potential to grow. The growth the 3D printer industry is seeing year-over-year deserves attention. One of the senior analysts at I Know First, Motek Moyen, explains DDD stock’s potential in depth in this article.

This chart shows the algorithmic forecast made on these 10 stocks three months ago and the results of the forecast. As seen, AMD was predicted to be the biggest gainer and with highest probability.
