VISA Predictions

Visa Inc. (V) Visa Inc., a payments technology company, operates as a retail electronic payments network worldwide. The company facilitates commerce through the transfer of value and information among financial institutions, merchants, consumers, businesses, and government entities.

Some of the companies that have adopted Visa’s new electronic payment solutions are mentioned here and it helps understand their outstanding performance in the past and the future.

Today we saw the announcement of Traveloka is starting to use the CyberSource payment service to process web and mobile payments from multiple users and all of this is powered by Visa. The payment data is securely stored in this CyberSource Payment Tokenization device and each unique identifier or token cannot be mathematically reversed. This features the world’s largest fraud detection radar. Visa seems to surprise us at every turn.

Another company that implemented the CyberSource service is LINE Thailand an extention of LINE Corporation, a Japanese based company that operates the LINE messenger app and it is used rabidly around the world in more than 230 countries. Their messenger system offers one-on-one and group messaging as well as free domestic and video calls and now they have implemented the CyberSource system for payments in their shop and increased their interaction with clients and revenues.

“Get out of my dreams and into my car” says Chevron U.S.A. Inc. (CVX) that recently announced a partnership with the mobile payments program of Visa. More than 20 Chevron-branded stations will be accepting any payments from NFC (near-field communications) payment service. It is estimated that 80% of Chevron’s customers in the U.S. pay for gas using debit or credit card and a large portion will be using the new system in place.

In Short Visa’s new and extravagant payment solutions have been implemented in various business areas and all over the world. We will see more developments from their R&D and better systems to protect customers. Stay tuned for further algorithmic news for VISA.
