Blyth announced that it is very probable it will sell the candle-seller company for $98 million to The Carlyle Group, a private equity firm. Carlyle will pay $6 for each stock of Blyth, which was more than double the stock’s closing price of $2.92 before this report. It is expected that deal will be closed in the fourth quarter of 2015. Shares of Blyth soared $3.03 to $5.95, which is more than a 100% increase.
