Artificial Intelligence

What is artificial intelligence?

Very simply put, artificial intelligence is a subcategory of computer science, whose goal is to get machines to be capable to do the same things a human would and could do. This whole idea had started in Stanford with John MC Carthy in 1956 what is known as the dartmouth conference, where the goal of AL field was defined.

Today, most large technological companies invest a huge amount of both labour and money into the development of AI. There are three types of categories. Strong AI, which is trying to adapt to human behavior as close as possible. Weak Al which is pretty much a robot who has a given task and acts up on it. And lastly you have something in the middle which is a mix of strong AI and weak AI.

Artificial intelligence has become an essential part of our industry and transformed the way we conduct our lives and operate our businesses. All computer games, web-based advertisements, automatic language translators, self-driving cars and even Facebook and Google operate via AI. In the same way Industrial Revolution radically changed the way mankind operated in the 18th and 19th century, so too AI has radically transformed our way of life in the 20th and 21st century.

Here at I Know First we use algorithms based on artificial intelligence and machine learning. Our algorithmic systems works on daily bases to forecast the marked and its behaviors. Every day, our clients receive a forecast to their personal email account updating them with some of the best information on the market and how to act on it. At ” I Know First”, we truly believe that the future lies within AI and ML.

Quick Win

Last year, on August 10 2015 I Know first released an article explaining that: “This market is currently far undervalued, with analysts rarely accounting for its added value in the future. Based on the algorithmic signals generated by our algorithm IBM is currently overvalued, with Google and Microsoft making a more attractive long term AI investment” which turn out to be right on target.
