Gilead’s primary areas of focus include human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/AIDS, liver diseases, such as hepatitis B and C and cardiovascular/metabolic and respiratory conditions. The stock has increased by 58.9% since last year’s American Society of Clinical Oncology meeting and analysts are expecting a 228% increase of GILD’s second quarter earnings.
