AMD

 

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) received a positive signal 50.22 of and predictability of 0.26. The stock returned 11.11% in accordance with the algorithmic forecast. Last Tuesday (5/20) AMD introduced its second generation R-Series embedded processors code named Bald Eagle, which are successors to the original R-Series products. The new processors use AMD’s latest “Steamroller” CPU cores to target a few specific markets including gaming machines, medical imaging, digital signage, industrial control and automation (IC&A), and communications and networking infrastructure. Experts are hailing the new processors as the highest performance embedded devices for 2014, putting AMD in a good position compared to its competitors. Compared to Intel’s Haswell-based Core i7 -4765T’s score of 1424 on the 3DMark 11 benchmark suite, the AMD Bald Eagle scored 2051, a 44 percent increase for the same 35W thermal design profile. A 46 percent improvement from the AMD chip was also seen on the BasemarkCL benchmark. To further encourage users to adopt the new chips, AMD has pledged to provide 10 years of support for the chips, meaning that replacement parts will be available for at least that long. The price has not yet been released.

PAY

VeriFone Systems, Inc. (PAY) reported a new board member, former SUN Microsystems CEO Jonathan I. Schwartz. Also it has announced that its mobile point-of-sale technology PAYware Mobile line got approval by Visa Ready Program. This is an additional step towards easy card payments from any location and environment. The company’s signal for the forecast period was 8.05 accompanied by predictability 0.2. In accordance with the algorithm VeriFone Systems gained 11.89%.

 

 

NOK

Nokia Corporation (NOK) had a signal of 12.27, predictability of 0.5 and returned 4.24% respectively. The company announced a 100$ investment into smart cars development, pursuing to become a leader in Internet of Things solutions in the future. Nokia also closed a partnership with NTT Docomo Inc. on 5G research and standardization. Furthermore, rumors have indicated that Nokia is working on a successor to its Android-based smartphones which could ship in 2015. The new Nokia X2 is reported to have a 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor, 1 GB of Ram and 4GB of onboard storage, making it a fair step up from prior Nokia X models. However, Microsoft Devices, which manages Nokia, declined to comment on the rumored device

 

ORBK

 

Israel based company Orbotech designs, develops, manufactures, markets, and services yield-enhancing production solutions for the supply chain of the electronics industry. Orbotech offers solutions for automated optical inspection (AOI), automated optical repair, laser direct imaging, digital printing, laser drilling, laser plotters, computer-aided manufacturing, and engineering solutions for printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other electronics component manufacturing. Orbotech had a signal of 5.62 and a predictability of .27. I Know First successfully predicted the 9.29% increase in Orbotech stock.
